BSL/English Interpreting:
Please make contact with the venue details, participants, duration and date of the assignment for us to discuss availability.
Due to current restrictions a lot of my work is online using a range of platforms (Zoom, Teams, Meet etc) – so please contact me with those details if this is the format of your training, event, or assignment.
Teaching and Training:
I co-teach on the iBSL Level 6 Interpreting Course with Deafness Support Network, we have seen 3 cohorts successfully qualify and the next cohort will start in September 2021.
I deliver at Llandrillo College, Rhos on Sea on the Deaf Studies Degree programme (link here) delivering the Interpreting Units on the FdA and BA Hons courses and deliver iBSL Level 4 Bilingual Course there too.
Assessing:
I am an assessor working with BSL Interpretations who provide the Signature Interpreting Course so I assess a number of candidates working towards their portfolio achievement of becoming qualified Interpreters.
Mentoring:
I have been a qualified mentor since 2007, and supported many interpreters with their own agenda of mentoring support that they have required. Find out more about me or other suitable Mentors for you on ASLI website : https://www.asli.org.uk/mentoring/
I am a member of the NRCPD, the national voluntary regulator of over 1,700 language service professionals including British Sign Language/English Interpreters and Translators, Lipspeakers, Notetakers, Speech to Text Reporters and Interpreters for Deafblind People.
