I am a qualified registered BSL/English Interpreter, with NRCPD, working in and around Wales and the North West of England. I have a full clean driving licence, can travel independently to assignments and work flexibly to meet the needs of my clients. I also offer Remote interpreting from home as well – I am experienced in offering remote interpreting services via Zoom, Skype, Google meet etc.
I am also an Assessor, Teacher and Mentor of interpreters. I achieved Qualified Interpreter status in 2004 and since then have also become an ASLI trained Mentor (2007), an A1 Assessor (2009) and have also achieved my PGCE (2015).
I work as an Interpreter in and around Wales and the North West of England in a variety of domains: Health, Community, Academia, Conference and legal interpreting. I have also interpreted Panto in Theatre Clwyd Mold – a new challenge which I loved! That is now a regular booking in my January calendar!
Since 2016 I have been teaching in Warrington on the iBSL L6 Interpreter Diploma with Deafness Support Network, which we run over 2 years. I am also an A1 assessor for Trainee Interpreters achieving their Level 6 on a Signature course, which is home based, with BSL Interpretations. I am also a regular tutor delivering modules at Grwp Llandrillo Menai (Colwyn Bay) as part of their FdA and BA Hons BSL & Deaf Studies degree.
